Introduction
A perfect picnic destination. Features the Rocky Brook Rocket, a vintage miniature train equipped to carry passengers. Also featuring the Salem-Shotwell Covered Bridge, one of five existing covered bridges in Alabama built before 1950. Originally built in 1900, the 43-foot bridge is a Town Lattice truss construction over a single span. It was destroyed by a fallen tree in 2005 at its original location near Salem.
