Introduction
Once called the “Riverfront Hotel” to be proper, the city’s Visitors Center is the only former bordello listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built just before 1900, it was once the most popular place on the city’s bawdy Front Street along the Arkansas River.
Visitors to Fort Smith should make Miss Laura’s their first stop in exploring the rich heritage of Fort Smith.
