Introduction
The Bizz Johnson National Recreation Trail follows the rugged Susan River from Susanville to Westwood along an old rail line. Motorized vehicles are prohibited so joggers and bicyclists can enjoy the quiet beauty of nature. The trail is just over 25 miles long and includes railroad bridges, trestles and two tunnels. The Bizz Johnson is especially spectacular in the fall when the trees along the trail begin to turn colors.
