Introduction

Dinosaurs once roamed the area around Dinosaur State Park, north of Middletown. You can still see some 500 tracks, dating from the Jurassic period, 200 million years ago, preserved under a giant geodesic dome. You can even make plaster casts of tracks on a special area of the property; call ahead to learn what materials you need to bring.
