Popular Destination Joins Just Eight Other Towns Across Nation to Make the List
The secret is out! Mystic, Connecticut has been named by National Geographic Adventure as one of the 50 Best
Places to Live and Play.
Mystic joins just eight other towns throughout the United States as one of the top waterfront towns in the country.
The list was compiled by National Geographic Adventure contributing editor Dan Koeppel who looked for the “ideal mix of terrain, activity, and opportunity.” According to the magazine’s website, “each of the action hubs he found could inspire a complete and total life change.”
This first-ever guide appears in the September 2007 issue of the magazine, available on newsstands beginning today.
Other regional mentions included Newport, Rhode Island, Northhampton, Massachusetts, Hanover, New Hampshire, Montpelier, Vermont, and Rockland, Maine.
