Introduction
The Vine City area of Atlanta holds the country's largest concentration of African-American colleges dating back to the post-Civil War era---often referred to as the Atlanta University Center (AUC). The AUC is comprised of Clark Atlanta University , Interdenominational Theological Center , Morehouse College , Morehouse School of Medicine, Morris Brown College and Spelman College . It is home to the Clark Atlanta University Art Gallery and the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art.
