About 1.3 miles from the start of Kuamoo Road, (Route 580), from Hwy. 56; signs point to the lookout on the right.
Cascading down into a hidden pool, this lacy waterfall is easily the island’s most accessible major waterfall. ‘O-paeka‘a means “rolling shrimp,” which were once abundant in the stream. Walk uphill and across the road for another view of the Wailua river valley and interior plains beyond.
