Day 1

7:30 pm – 10:00 pm
Prepare yourself to be wowed by the bright lights of Broadway, when you catch a performance at The Chanhassen Dinner Theatre. As the nation’s largest dinner theatre, you will be treated to a professional production and a scrumptious meal.

Day 2

9:00 am - 10:00 am
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.

10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Take a self guided tour through the Normandale Japanese Gardens. You will experience traditional Japanese Garden elements including bridges, stone lanterns, streams and waterfalls. Call ahead of time to schedule a guided tour for your group.

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Visit the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum to be inspired by well-designed plant displays, collections, model landscapes and conservation areas. With more than 1,000 acres of magnificent gardens, model landscapes, and natural areas – from woodlands and wetlands to prairie – and an extensive collection of northern-hardy plants, take a leisurely stroll around the gardens and enjoy the views. Don’t forget to try a Flowerpot Lunch under a shade tree.

3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Hyland Lake Park Reserve is a great location to bird watch and enjoy your surroundings. Six major bodies of water and wetlands provide a habitat for Cooper’s hawks, woodpeckers, common loons and woodcocks to name a few.

5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Take time to relax back at your hotel.

7:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Head over to Mall of America for an evening of shopping and dining. Since the mall is always 70 degrees without the use of heating, you will be able to enjoy walking around the area comfortably. Have a meal at the Rainforest Café, for a truly green experience.

Day 3

9:00 am - 10:00 am

10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Explore 2,200 acres of floodplain forest, ponds, spring fed streams and marsh in the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, in Bloomington The refuge has over 260 bird species. Stop by the visitor’s center to learn about area wildlife and migrating water fowl.

1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The Minnesota Zoo has over 500 acres of natural animal habitats and 2500 animals. Be sure to visit the new Russia’s Grizzly Coast exhibit to see the grizzly bears, sea otters, Amur leopards and wild boar. Stop into the Call of the Wild café for a bite to eat.
