Cathedral of Saint Paul

Introduction

The Mother Church for the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis was built 1906-1915 in Classical Renaissance style featuring 4 chapels finished in Italian marble, Shrines of Nations, honoring some of the ethnic groups that settled in the area, bronze grills depicting the life of Saint Paul and many stained glass windows. It is the 4th largest Cathedral in the United States and was placed on the National Register in 1974.
