For a city that always thinks big, there are plenty of oversized attractions for you to discover.
Stars of the Strip
Head on a walking tour along the Strip with a checklist of famous sights. Paris Las Vegas’ Eiffel Tower is a half-scale reproduction of Europe’s original, complete with panoramic views of the Strip. The Fountains of Bellagio have more than 1,000 fountains that shoot water in a dramatic ballet of lights set to Sinatra and Broadway hits. The Sirens of TI is a whirlwind of excitement and seduction that unfolds as tempting sirens lure renegade pirates to their cove outside Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. The Volcano at the Mirage erupts nightly with an earth rumbling, sky-high spray of smoke and fire with streams of molten lava.
Get Your Thrills
If you are looking for four Gs of adrenaline, head toward Adventuredome Theme Park inside Circus Circus and its Sling Shot ride or the double-loop coaster at this five-and-a-half-acre park. Trekkies head to Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton for multimillion-dollar rides such as Borg Invasion 4D. Sahara’s NASCAR Entertainment Center houses Vegas’ fastest rollercoaster, SPEED-The Ride, which plummets and corners on rails at
70 mph. Stratosphere Las Vegas’ Insanity, X Scream and Big Shot are rides that catapult, fling headfirst or dangle visitors weightlessly above the Strip and are known as the world’s highest thrill rides.
Arts and CultureThere is culture in the desert and you can find it at the distinctive collections at the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum in The Venetian and the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art. Both have housed exhibits featuring artists such as Picasso, Monet, Ansel Adams and Andy Warhol.
