Just to the north of Atlantic City in Brigantine is the Marine Mammal Stranding Center. The center is non-profit organization that is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of stranded marine mammals and sea turtles. Stop in for a visit, there’s a museum and gift shop featuring “Cupid the Seal” t-shirts, pins, jackets, and stuffed animals.
Afternoon
If you’re in the mood for some nature, the Edwin B. Forsythe Wildlife Refuge features 40,000 acres of coastal salt marshes, upland fields, woodlands and tidal waters. The refuge is also a stopover for over 200 species of migratory birds. To enjoy the full experience, stop in The Noyes Museum of Art, located near the entrance.
Evening
Once you’ve returned to Atlantic City, hit the town running. And the perfect place to start is at Showboat’s House of Blues®. House of Blues includes a southern-inspired restaurant, Worship nightclub, multi-level Music Hall and a private membership club called The Foundation Room.
