Introduction
When most people think of New York, they think of New York City; the lights of Broadway, the buzz of Times Square, the majesty of the Statue of Liberty. But what most people do not know is that New York is so much more than the city. In fact, New York state is larger in land mass than England.
New York state is cruises under Niagara Falls and visits to “The Grand Canyon of the East,” Letchworth State Park. It is tours of renowned vineyards in the Finger Lakes and horseback rides at dude ranches. It is snowboarding in the Adirondacks, home to Lake Placid and two Winter Olympics. New York state is museums, theatres and cultural centers. And it is hiking, camping and fishing.
All these experiences are accessible by taking a one-hour flight or short train or car ride from New York City. New York State has everything you could want in an American vacation, any time of year.
