Introduction
Through programs and presentations in visual arts, performing arts and arts education, the Afro-American Cultural Center promotes African-American culture in the Charlotte region. Soon to have a prime spot on Center City’s cultural corridor in 2008, the new facility will quadruple its current space to allow additional room for exhibits, lectures, theater and more. The new center will also include a roof-top terrace for receptions, meetings, and community gatherings.
