Allow plenty of time to explore Oregon's Mt. Hood Territory. On your travels in The Territory's 1,879 square miles, you will find hundreds of things to see and do. You can have breakfast at a quaint cafe in the morning, grab your fishing pole and catch the big one at one of many lakes, river and streams. Golf in the afternoon then stroll through historic neighborhoods and finish it up with early evening wine tasting or flower gazing at one of many wineries and farms. Year-round, you can ski or snowboard on Mt. Hood, offering the longest ski season in North America.
Fun for the kids is splashing around at the North Clackamas Aquatic Park, playing at the Family Fun Center in Wilsonville, or elevating the experience at the Mt. Hood Skibowl Summer Adventure Park and Alpine Slide. Catch a ride on the historic Canby Ferry across the Willamette River or a ride along the Willamette between Lake Oswego and Portland on the Willamette Shore Trolley. And, don't miss a ride to the top of the only outdoor municipal elevator in the United States located in Historic Oregon City.
You will find one of the Territory's historical sites at the 6,000 ft. level of Mt. Hood - the majestic Timberline Lodge built in the 1930s through the Works Progress Administration and the Civilian Conservation Corps.
