When to Go to Philadelphia
Any time is right to enjoy the area's attractions, and a variety of popular annual events takes place throughout the year. The period around July 4th is particularly festive; there are special activities in the historic area throughout the summer. Concert and theater seasons run from October through the beginning of June. You may find some better lodging deals in winter. In spring, the city's cherry blossoms bloom, and they rival those of Washington, D.C.
Climate
Like other northeastern American cities, Philadelphia can be hot and humid in summer and cold in winter (winter snowfall averages 21 inches).
