During other seasons we pride ourselves on the numerous water-oriented activities we can offer. However, Winter brings a host of replacement options:

Wurstfest is a 10-day celebration in the spirit of Germany’s Oktoberfest. Held in early November, the festival is heavy on fun and goodwill, not to mention sausage and tubas.
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, Schlitterbahn transforms into a wonderland filled with over a million lights, real ice skating, “snow”, dazzling shows, sledding, festive food, a crafters’ village, and much more.
Santa’s Ranch is a short drive away and features 100 intricate displays and animations with more than a million lights.
A helicopter tour (Helicopter Tours of Texas) is an outside-the-box option.
