Introduction
The theatre is modeled after the original Shakespearean Globe Theatre in England. Productions are held throughout the year, along with national road shows and local productions which range from Country and Bluegrass concerts to Broadway musical comedies. The Southwest Shakespeare Festival is held each year on the last weekend of August through the third week of September. Also on the grounds is a Writer’s Garden and a replica of Anne Hathaway’s cottage that contains antiques and a Shakespearean library.
