Introduction
The largest professional symphonic organization in the Permian Basin. Their season includes a Masterworks Series, a 4-event Pops Series (Broadway, popular music, jazz, and much more), special events (Texas Wine Experience, Friends’ of the Ensembles concert, etc.) and Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker ballet in collaboration with the Midland Festival Ballet. In addition to the full symphony orchestra, they have four resident ensembles: The Permian Basin String Quartet, West Texas Winds (Woodwind quintet), Lone Star Brass (Brass quintet) and the MOSC Chorale. Each ensemble performs at least twice a year in each city
