Morning
Start the day with your favorite coffee beverage made from locally roasted beans. There is a coffee shop on almost every corner and in most every building. Accompany your java with a fresh pastry from one of our many local bakeries.
Explore the Pike Place Market as the local farmers and vendors set up shop. Watch cheese being made. See fresh fish go flying by. Sample locally produced foods & beverages. Talk with local artists. Discover some of Washington State’s award winning boutique wine makers. You may even want to contact a chef for a personal tour of the market, followed by a cooking class or special lunch.
Afternoon
Watch the world’s most modern aircraft being built before your eyes at the Boeing Factory in Everett – approximately 35 minutes north of Seattle. Experience aviation’s future at the adjacent, brand new Future of Flight Aviation Center. Scope out fantastic bargains at the nearby Seattle Premium Outlet Mall.
OR
Experience Seattle from a different angle. Hop on a seaplane for a scenic flight seeing tour over Seattle. Spend the rest of the afternoon discovering Seattle’s glass art culture; visit one of the many galleries, see an artist at work, hear and learn about the craft, or perhaps even create your own signature glass art.
Evening
Dine Seattle style….whether on land, sea or wheels. Fresh seafood, meats and produce abound. Center your meal around creative food/wine pairings. Join a meet-the-wine maker event. End the day at one of Seattle’s acclaimed cultural attractions or a sports event. Depending on the time of year, the theatre, symphony, ballet, opera, or live jazz shows are just a sampling of what Seattle’s performing art scene has to offer. For sports fans, take in Seattle Mariners baseball, Seahawks football, Sonics (men’s) basketball, Storm (women’s) basketball, or a Sounders soccer game.
