Day 1
Laramie, Wyoming is known as the cultural capital of Wyoming. It is home to the only University in Wyoming and offers year-round events to suit everyone’s desire. In the fall months the University offers Division 1 football, volleyball, soccer, and basketball to sports enthusiasts and plays, orchestras, local art displays and musicals to the art enthusiasts. Take a trip to Historic Downtown Laramie and enjoy the history of the west with its antique stores, galleries, shops, breweries, and hometown cooking at its best.
Day 2
Plan to spend the day discovering an enchanting land called Vedauwoo (pronounced VEE-da-voo). Vedauwoo is located in the beautiful Medicine Bow National Forest near Pole Mountain in Curt Gowdy State Park. Vedauwoo provides excellent backdrops for picnics, sight-seeing, mountain biking, camping, rock climbing, fishing, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. While you’re out enjoying the beautiful outdoors keep your eyes open for moose, fox, beavers, and a variety of birds.
Day 3
To the west of Laramie are the Snowy Mountains and its beautiful little mountain community of Centennial. The early morning sunrise reflects of pink glow on the Snowy Mountains and its many mountain lakes. After enjoying the beauty and serenity of the Snowy Range stop at one of the lodges in or around Centennial for a day of horseback riding, fishing, and a chuck wagon campfire cook-out. The Snowy Range has a wonderful trail system for hikers, bikers, fisherman, campers, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiers, or just a nice peaceful picnic.
