3 Perfect Days in Santa Fe

Day 1: Relax and Indulge

Your relaxing escape to Santa Fe will be off to a great start as soon as you check in to an extraordinary hotel, pampering resort, or unique B&B. After breakfast, take a leisurely stroll around the Plaza and enjoy the sights and sounds of Santa Fe coming to life. Next, perhaps a low impact hike in the foothills of the Sangre de Christos or a yoga class may be to your liking. After a light lunch, head to one of Santa Fe's myriad of spas, where you can enjoy a rejuvenating soak in a private tub before indulging in a massage or other spa treatment. Finish the day by treating yourself to some dazzling culinary creations at one of the city’s many award-winning restaurants. A nice bottle of wine and conversation will prepare you for a bit of romantic star gazing before calling it a night.

Day 2: Art and Culture Lovers

Nosh on some delicious pastries with a frothy cappuccino before heading over to the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, and delve into the colorful world of a true American master. Next, stroll a few blocks over to the Fine Arts Museum and prepare to be dazzled by the wide range of creativity that has emanated from Santa Fe for centuries. Grab a leisurely lunch at a café near the Plaza before heading over to Canyon Road, with its varied and intriguing selection of galleries. Then it's on to SITE Santa Fe for some internationally recognized contemporary art. After an early dinner, Santa Fe's cultural scene continues to shine, whether it's opera in the summer, or a performance at the historic Lensic Theater. Of course, you could always simply hang out and enjoy some live music at one of Santa Fe's signature bars or pubs.

Day 3: Outdoors Adventures

Begin the day with a hearty breakfast burrito (with red or green chile, or both!) at one of the local dining spots off the Plaza. You'll need the fuel to keep you going all day long in the beautiful high desert environs of Santa Fe. Head up into the hills for a getaway from the everyday: if it's winter, hit the slopes at the Santa Fe Ski area; warmer weather is perfect for a hike or mountain bike on the many trails that traverse the Sangre De Christo Mountains. Or, perhaps you'd prefer a leisurely horseback ride. Take a break for lunch before hitting the links at any number of area golf resorts. Maybe some water-related fun is more to your liking. Do some whitewater rafting on the nearby Rio Grande, or get some peace and quiet while fly-fishing. Finish the day off watching the sunset from a relaxing café balcony, sipping a nice, cool margarita.
