Introduction
Learn about science and technology with hands-on experiences at the largest science museum in the Western Hemisphere, offering many classics as well as countless new exhibits to explore. Experience a national historic landmark, the U-505 Submarine. This submarine has been at the Museum since 1954 and is the only German U-boat captured during World War II and one of only five U-boats left in the world. Guests are immersed in the story of the submarine’s capture and technology through more than 200 artifacts, archival footage, veteran testimony, recreated events, interactive challenges and an optional on-board tour.
