Title: Segway Tour
Posted by: Annapolis & Anne Arundel County

Introduction

Complete your tour of the Atlantic coast with a visit to Annapolis, a charming historic city on Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay. Annapolis is within driving distance of many popular U.S. travel destinations, including Washington, D.C., Baltimore, New York City and Philadelphia. The area is also accessible from three international airports: Baltimore-Washington International Airport, Washington-Dulles International Airport and Reagan International Airport.

During colonial times, this bustling seaport welcomed trade ships from all over the world and was the capital of the United States. As you stroll along quaint brick sidewalks and admire the well-preserved architecture, it’s easy to imagine life during the days of America’s founding fathers. In fact, the residences of all four Maryland signers of the Declaration of Independence are located here. Two of them – the Charles Carroll House and the Chase-Lloyd House – are open for public tours.

The Bay is still an important part of life in Annapolis today. With one glance at all the boats gliding along the water, sails billowing, you’ll understand how the city earned its nickname of “America’s Sailing Capital.” Annapolis is also home to the United States Naval Academy.

There are many ways to explore the city. Travel back in time with a historic tour in a horse-drawn carriage or a guided walk with the Annapolis Towne Crier. For a decidedly modern twist, sightsee on a Segway. Or, for a truly “otherworldly” experience, join an Annapolis Ghost Tour. Whether you choose the family-friendly Walking Ghost Tour or the adults-only Haunted Pub Crawl, you’ll gain an entirely new insight into the spirit – and spirits – of Annapolis!
