Day 1
Arrive in Amarillo around noon and check into your hotel. Enjoy an afternoon at the Amarillo Botanical Gardens, hike at Wildcat Bluff Nature Center (call for special programs); dinner at one of the many restaurants in the city.
Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel; plan a morning visit to the Don Harrington Discovery Center & Space Theater. In the afternoon take a Jeep tour at Elkins Ranch or hike/bike/drive Palo Duro Canyon State Park; for the evening plan to see the musical outdoor drama “TEXAS” in the park (summer only).
Day 3
Plan for breakfast either at your hotel or at River Breaks Ranch or Elkins Ranch Cowboy Morning (reservations needed). Depart Amarillo via Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument and/or Lake Meredith National Recreation Area.
